Congratulations Keisha Lockhart, NBNPA 2022 scholarship recipient!

 

One of our many outstanding graduate students of the National Black Nurse Practitioner Association is Keisha Lockhart. Keisha is a pediatric nurse practitioner with a post graduate certificate in midwifery who is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice studies at The University of Alabama. 

 

She has 15 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner and is a dedicated clinical preceptor to nurse practitioner students. Having a great passion for the underserved communities and a desire to improve health disparities during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods, Ms. Lockhart recently stepped out on faith and opened her first clinic on October 7, 2022 in Abeville County, South Carolina. Her goal is to provide a continuum of evidence-based care to the underserved population in her area.
