The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) – Department of Neurology:
The Department of Neurology at UTMB Health was established in 1973. It has a long-standing history and tradition in the practice and advancement of Clinical Neurosciences by providing the most comprehensive care to patients with neurologic illnesses from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, brain tumors, Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, stroke as well as other acute neurologic injuries. The department also has a robust laboratory research program that is particularly focused at advancing our knowledge of neurodegenerative disorders. In addition, UTMB has a highly regarded, fully accredited neurology residency training program.

Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner, clinical opportunities:

The Department of Neurology, at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking motivated Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join their expanding clinical group. These are “all-ambulatory” opportunities with positions available at our Galveston, Clearlake, and Angleton campuses. These candidates will assist in the timely treatment of neurology patients with clinic expectations being 9 weekly sessions at their assigned campus location. 

Position Requirements:

  • Graduated from an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current licensure to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Acute Care Nursing Certification (ACNP or ANCC) is preferred, but not required.
